If large-diameter pneumatic actuators are replaced with electric actuators, which one is cheaper? For example, a valve with DN1000
It depends on the requirements regarding switching time – electric actuators have a longer opening/closing time, while pneumatic actuators can close more quickly. Additionally, if the cost of the valve actuator is to be kept low, one factor to consider is the brand of the actuator; Second: Replace the actuator motor with a smaller one.

Even among explosion-proof options, electric ones are cheaper. For valves of DN1000, with the same torque, it’s difficult to find single-acting pneumatic actuators – and they are certainly more expensive; Double-acting pneumatic actuators are also fine.
Personally, I think that if they are all imported brands, electric ones should be cheaper while pneumatic ones are more expensive. However, whether to use electric or pneumatic systems is not a matter for the valve manufacturer to decide; it is determined by the customer based on the actual requirements on site.
