Leak at the gasket of the medium-pressure steam valve

The waste heat boiler in my plant produces medium-pressure steam. I’ve never worked with medium-pressure steam before; from what others have said, steam containing water can easily cause valve leaks. There are many leak points in the medium-pressure pipelines of my plant – could this be related to the presence of water in the steam? Can steam carrying water cause leaks? Please share your thoughts; extra points for that
When steam contains water, severe erosion and corrosion occur in pipes and valves, causing the walls of these components to thin out over time, which leads to internal leakage in the valves as well as leaks in the pipes and valve bodies. For automatic control valves, this can also cause erosion of the valve spool and seat, resulting in the control valve not being able to close properly. Similarly, the degree of corrosion in steam-using equipment will also increase. Furthermore, water hammer will also be more severe. All these factors increase safety risks.
