GB31571-2015 5.4.9 stipulates that for production processes and equipment that generate air pollutants, local or overall gas collection systems as well as purification devices must be installed to ensure emissions meet the required standards. The height of the exhaust stacks shall be determined in accordance with the requirements of environmental impact assessment, and it must be at least 15 meters. Our company has three VRU gas treatment units, all of which have exhaust outlet heights of less than 15 meters. These heights need to be increased to 15 meters. The exhaust pipes are made of steel tubes with diameters of 4”, 8”, and 14” respectively. The problem now is how to erect these steel tubes to a height of 15 meters – what methods can be used for fixing them? Are there any criteria that can be used as a reference for selection? I would be grateful if experts could share their insights :) PS: There is no steel structure in the vicinity, nor are there any professionals specializing in steel structures within the company
You can simply increase the height; 15m tall vertical steel pipes are quite common. Make sure that the exhaust pipes are protected from rainwater to prevent it from entering.
