The project involves the classification and cleaning of pipelines (made of stainless steel) used for transporting food products – liquids with extremely low viscosity, similar to water. The system uses a set of pumps to deliver various types of food products to containers at different heights in the warehouse; after transporting one type of product, the next type is delivered, which results in mixing between the two types of food products at the point of contact, thereby affecting the quality of the food. Now, a solution is needed to transfer all of the first type of food medium from the tank at the bottom of the building to the containers upstairs, and then transfer the second type of food medium. There must be a one-to-one correspondence between the tanks on the lower floor and the containers on the upper floor; no mixing is allowed. I thought of two options: one is to use compressed air to push it in and then blow it out (but it’s not certain whether the vertical pipes can be cleaned thoroughly, how long it will take to do so, or whether the pressure used might be too high) ) ; Another option is to use a ball sweep, but it is unclear what the installation requirements are for pipes with this method, and whether it is possible to use hoses. I now seek guidance from experts~
Purging is completely fine; as long as the container is properly depressurized, there’s no issue.
Blow directly with air, and test the effectiveness of the purging at the discharge port using a clean white target; ; Using a ball passer requires special equipment, and it’s quite troublesome
If pipes aren’t expensive, it’s best to install one; it’s more hassle-free
