Is it necessary to use a bellows compensator in the outlet pipeline of a centrifugal pump? However, the use of bellows compensators presents the issue of blind plate force. Could connecting the pipes directly with rigid tubes have any adverse effects on the entire piping system?
This requires analyzing each specific case on its own. It can’t be generalized; I’ve seen pump outlets in petrochemical plants that don’t use wave compensators.
Large pumps should be equipped with bellows compensators, especially those connected to storage tanks. There is no need to install a wave compensator for small pumps; it depends on the actual circumstances.
