Does anyone know how to conduct PMI testing? For which materials is such testing necessary? Is it mainly for testing raw materials, or for testing welded components that are fabricated on site? The customer requires that stainless steel materials meet PMI testing requirements, but the question is whether the material supplier also needs to carry out this testing I’m hoping someone who is an expert in this area can help reply. Thank you!
Directly refer to the petrochemical PMI standard Q/SH 0706-2016, Guidelines for Verifying Metal Materials – This is required of ordinary suppliers as well as the project owner
