As shown in the diagram, this is a picture of the construction site, and the pipeline depicted in it is a steam pipe. As we know, the π-shaped bend is the area under the greatest stress; is it reasonable to install flow meters and valves there?
The U-shaped bend serves mainly as a compensating element; it shouldn’t be used for installing flow meters and valves! But I wonder if there are any regulations in the standard specifications?

The drawings show the expansion bend; the deformation at the corresponding positions is not significant, the stress levels are low, and there will be no major issues with the mounting accessories
It’s just ordinary low-pressure steam, but what is the purpose of using a flow meter in a π-shaped bend?
Moreover, the elbow is connected directly to the valve; if the elbow deforms, what will happen to the valve flange? Will it be leaked?

It can be inferred that the main function of this door-type bend is not to absorb expansion, but rather to lead the flow meter and valves out to the service area for easier operation and maintenance, with expansion compensation serving as a secondary function. 3. As long as there is angular deformation in the pipeline, it will inevitably affect the uniform distribution of forces on the flange bolts installed on the pipeline. However, the degree of impact varies, which is used to determine whether a valve flow meter can be installed.
This is just the construction site; it hasn’t been delivered yet? From what you say, it might be to move the flow meter out of the way, but it seems like a rather complicated approach. Wouldn’t it be more convenient and simpler to place the steam pipes on the outside?
Regardless of the reason, the pipeline becomes flexible; it needs to deform, and the flange area is the weak point where leaks are likely to occur
Are the brackets too small as well? The elevation of the pipeline is relatively low, so the direction of the valve handwheel should be upward
