For the valves located before and after the safety valve, previous standards required that CSC and CSO be indicated; however, I recently saw a flow diagram in which LC and LO are used as the standard designations. How should one choose between these two? What are the differences?
The safety valve must be unlocked or sealed with lead on both the front and back; otherwise what is the purpose of the safety valve?

CSC and CSO are seals, similar to the weight mechanism on electricity and water meters at home; LC and LO are locks that require a key to operate. LC and LO have stricter requirements than CSC and CSO
Seals can be broken relatively easily, while locks are more secure
