Degreasing is done to prevent combustion and explosions that may occur when oxygen comes into contact with oil; this has nothing to do with polishing. Valve disassembly involves degreasing and cleaning all those parts of the valve that can be accessed for such purposes; for those parts that cannot be reached, they must be taken apart in order to be degreased and cleaned. Oil must be blocked off during reinstallation! ! ! It is worth noting here that some valves are already labeled as \"for oxygen use only\"; as a precaution, I proceed by disassembling them for inspection and performing degreasing to be on the safe side. Disassembling a valve is not a difficult task; it’s better to assume it can be done than to assume it can’t!
