Selection of stainless steel pipe wall thickness

It is a stainless steel pipe used for transporting formaldehyde; according to the formula, its nominal size is SCH=5S. The wall thickness indicated in the tables seems a bit low, so I want to increase it, but by how much exactly? How to select a reasonable wall thickness? ? ?
Based on the wall thickness calculated using the relevant formulas, for stainless steel of PN16 and class150, with diameters ranging from DN15 to 40, Sch40S is used; for diameters larger than DN50, Sch10S is used. Thickness 5S has not been used in regular pipelines, but it has been employed in some special small-diameter delivery pipelines
Why is SCH10S used for DN50 at the same PN16 pressure rating? ? ?
As a common practice, when considering the welding of small-diameter pipes, there is no reason for it.
