Causes of seal leakage in centrifugal pumps

A used oil centrifugal pump was leaking at its seal. After disassembling the pump, it was found that the shaft impeller cover was slightly bent. Could this be the cause of the seal leakage? If so, please explain exactly how it has an impact!
Is the liquid leaking between the shaft and the sleeve, or between the sleeve and the sealing end cap? If it’s the former, it might be because the gasket isn’t functioning properly
From your description, it seems that the shaft is bent at the location of the impeller cover. If that’s the case, it might be due to the cover not being tightened properly during installation, or damaged gaskets that have caused the cover to loosen, which in turn leads to the impeller shaking and increased pump vibration, resulting in seal leakage

There are shims on the impeller lock nut, through which the medium enters between the shaft and the sleeve. So there is a leak at the mechanical seal. You'll understand once you open it.
