I’m sorry to bother everyone, but I would like to ask about the delivery condition of welded chromium-molybdenum steel pipes. The specifications provided are as follows: Welded chromium-molybdenum steel pipe, DSAW, LGS, BE, ASTM A691 1 1/4Cr CL22, ASME B36.10M, 36”, 12mm. I want to know whether this pipe requires normalizing or annealing treatment. From what I’ve found online, it seems that CL22 grades require annealing for stress relief, but my supervisors want to confirm this again to avoid any risk of explosion during installation. I work in the field of chemical plant construction. I would be very grateful if those who are available could help answer this question!
You can check the design requirements of design institutes; both domestic and international design institutes have specific technical specifications for special steels. As a fallback, you can look up the production standards for chromium-molybdenum steel pipes available domestically and internationally, as those standards contain the relevant information.
