Are there any usage restrictions for reducing flanges?

There is a project currently, and they want to use this technology on a large scale in that project. Since it’s a high-pressure project, the goal is to reduce the number of welds – is that possible?
The reduced-diameter flanges I’ve come across are simply blind flanges with a threaded hole drilled in them. Or use an LWN long weld neck flange.
I have come into contact with glass-lined reducing flanges, which are used for corrosive media
No usage restrictions have been found for the standard for now
Logically, it should be possible; one can check overall to see if there are any standard restrictions
