As investment in domestic projects related to chips, liquid crystal panels, and solar silicon wafers increases, transparent double-sleeve pipelines are needed for chemical transportation in many facilities within these industries. Numerous detailed problems arise during the construction of such projects, especially at locations where bends and tee connections are required. Here, we have summarized the problems we have encountered, for the reference of those who may need this information; please feel free to point out any shortcomings. 1. Selection of inner and outer pipes: Generally, it is advisable to choose pipes that are at least two sizes larger; for example, if the inner pipe is DN20, it’s better to use an outer pipe with a diameter of DN40. Of course, for the sake of ease of construction, homeowners who can afford it may opt for even larger sizes, which makes construction at bends and tees easier ; 2. Processing of the internal support: This support is used to ensure that the inner tube remains in the central position within the sleeve. It is generally recommended to use one support every 1 meter. When processing it, pay attention to the dimensions of the inner and outer diameters – the inner diameter of the support should conform to the upper tolerance of the outer diameter of the inner tube, while the outer diameter should conform to the lower tolerance of the inner diameter of the outer sleeve. Make sure that any burrs are thoroughly removed ; 3. At the joints of elbows and tees, during construction it is necessary to accurately determine the dimensions of these joints, so as to prevent the inner pipe’s elbows or tees from not being in the correct central position when the outer pipe is cut ; 4. In cases where valves or other components that require protection are present, it is necessary to add a separate valve box. The design of this valve box should take into account the actual location on site, in order to avoid situations where it cannot be installed after it has been designed ; 5. Finally, special attention must be paid to the quality of the outer tube, specifically its transparency. Since it is a transparent tube, it should certainly have sufficient transparency; generally, a light transmittance of over 60% ensures good clarity. (This way of putting it may not be very clear; see the diagram below for the light transmittance of the car film.) Additionally, the outer tube should have a certain level of impact resistance. A simple way to test this is to hit it with a hammer a few times – it shouldn’t break easily under normal conditions. If it does break, then it’s something worth paying attention to. That’s about it.
