Regarding the basket filter at the pump inlet

I have a question: must the basket filter at the pump inlet be installed vertically relative to the horizontal ground? In our factory, the outlet of the newly installed pump pipes is located too low, which makes it impossible to access the filter element of the basket filter; therefore, it has to be installed at an angle of 45°. Is this installation method in compliance with the standards? ? ?
The gas medium has basically no impact and does not affect the filtering efficiency. Installation at an angle will lead to increased flow resistance and shorter cleaning intervals in the future.
Standards originate from practical applications. Before looking for standards, it’s best to first understand how your device works; by knowing its working principle, you can figure out how to install it. Installation cannot be disassembled for cleaning; that’s a real problem. It needs to be cut off and reinstalled.
I don’t understand what the original poster means – what is the relationship between a low pump outlet and installing a filter at the inlet?
It’s common to see basket filters installed at a 45° angle, but it’s not clear what the effects of this are.
Actually, 45 degrees is equivalent to a Y-type filter:lol:lol;P
As long as it works well, if the technical supervisor doesn’t interfere； Think of it as buying a Y-type filter
