Should lift-type check valves be used for DN50 and below, while swing-type check valves should be used for DN50 and above? What is the basis for the selection?

This guide depends on the era it comes from to determine whether it has regulatory authority. You can also look for the type of valve you need, and by checking its minimum and maximum diameter as well as its range of application, you can make a judgment.
The specifications do exist; it’s just that none of them provide details on the operating conditions for different types of check valves
This requires practical experience, and moreover, more new types of valves are now being introduced. It’s better to post only questions related to what you are facing right now.
I don’t understand, but I personally think it should be determined based on the operating conditions; choosing a check valve based on the pipe diameter seems inappropriate.
Is there any standard governing the basis for selecting operating conditions? Or could you provide a brief explanation? Thank you
