As shown in the diagram, when there is a sudden power outage, the circulation pump stops working and the water inside the heat exchanger ceases to flow. However, if the steam supply is not turned off promptly, the water inside the heat exchanger will rapidly vaporize and expand. I would like to ask if there are any valves that can automatically shut off the steam supply in the event of a power outage. Normally closed electric valves won’t work; they break down too often. Are there any other ways? I’d appreciate your advice.
It is recommended to use a “self-acting control valve” for steam.
The steam valve can be pushed open with water flow, which acts as a form of interlock; this is just an idea. If there is no gas supply available on site, an electric valve is the best choice. In your case, adjustment is definitely necessary
Just install a solenoid valve – it will automatically close in the event of a power loss!
