The company’s Class A tank area is equipped with 50m3 storage tanks for ethanol and isopropanol, as well as storage tanks for liquid alkali. From there, the liquids are transported via pipelines to the mixing tanks in the workshop; these pipelines are made of DN40 stainless steel seamless pipes. After reaching outside the workshop walls, the pipelines pass through shut-off valves. Can sanitary-grade thin-walled clean welding pipes be used inside the workshop? Are there any specific regulatory requirements?

The DN40 diameter avoids the problems associated with pressure pipelines; as long as parameters such as the pipe wall thickness meet the safety requirements, sanitary-grade pipes can be used.
