Pipeline pressure testing

During pressure testing, some pipes have one end that is not sealed. Is it necessary to conduct pressure testing in such cases? Are there any relevant standards? Please advise. Thank you

What does it mean that one end is not closed? Doesn’t that mean normal pressure?
