Happy New Year 2024 **********************【Ten Years of Rapid Development in Chemical Engineering Equipment】A continuously updated summary post is available; feel free to join the discussions at https://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-3576046-1-1.html (Source: Haichuan Chemical Engineering Forum) ***************** The Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute has successfully transformed itself from a manufacturer of individual safety valves into a provider of comprehensive overpressure protection solutions. Advances in key technologies, the development of various product lines, and the establishment of intellectual property rights have all contributed to raising the overall technical level of China’s safety valve industry and enhancing its global influence. In the hydrometallurgy industry, various types of equipment are subjected to corrosion to varying degrees during operation due to exposure to acids, alkalis, salts, metals, and other substances. Therefore, due to the limitations of its manufacturing principles, pipelines are lined with plastic; in cases of high temperatures, special materials such as titanium alloys must be used. A safety valve serves as a pressure protection mechanism on pipelines; if it fails, it can lead to minor issues such as leakage and contamination of the fluid, or in severe cases, accidents like explosions. Therefore, during the design and construction of the project, when selecting critical equipment such as safety valves, Chile’s FASTPACK S.A. was extremely cautious and imposed almost demanding requirements; in other words, \"the quality must be the best!\" ”. The supplier with which it had been working for a long time was an international top-brand, but its high prices, long delivery times, and substantial maintenance costs led FASTPACK S.A. to consider other brands as well. As early as a decade ago, the company became aware of the research and development work on safety valves carried out by the Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute. When it developed new needs in 2023, the company promptly sought cooperation with the Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute. On October 13, 2023, after more than a month of business negotiations, the Beijing Institute of Aerospace Propulsion and Chile’s FASTPACK S.A. company signed a supply contract for safety valves through direct export; these products will be used in highly corrosive hydrometallurgical production facilities. This is the company’s first purchase of Chinese safety valve products, marking the first instance of Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute’s safety valve products being used in the hydrometallurgy industry in South America.
0 breath valves make their debut in the Tanzanian market. Recently, the Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute, which belongs to the Sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, signed a contract with a client for the supply of breath valves for storage tanks in an East African crude oil pipeline project. 40 breather valves from the Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute will be installed on 100,000 cubic meter of wax-containing heavy oil storage tanks located in Tanga, Tanzania, to provide reliable safety protection for these tanks. The signing of this contract represents another important step by the Beijing Institute of Aerospace Propulsion in contributing to the Belt and Road Initiative. It marks the first sale of its breather valves in the Tanzanian market, thereby expanding the market reach of this product in Africa.
