Hello everyone, the picture below is a diagram of the suction inlet pipe of a centrifugal pump. I would like to ask if there is a problem with the flat and eccentric size of the head used in the picture to prevent the air bag. Thank you.~
No problem, the reducer at the inlet and outlet of the pump is designed to be eccentric, with the top flat for liquids and the bottom flat for gases.
I also ask, in actual operation, is it better to have a flat ground? . . .
It has something to do with the medium. The top of liquid is flat and the bottom of gas is flat.
No problem, the old specification requires the storage tank to be at a high position and the lower level to be used when the pump is at a low position. When the pool is at a low position and the pump is at a high position, use an upper leveler to prevent air bubbles from causing air trapping. When the pipeline enters the pump from bottom to top, it should be installed with the top flat; when the pipeline enters the pump from top to bottom, it should be installed with the top flat and set at a low point to clear it; but when transporting solid media or slurry, the eccentric reducer on the horizontal pipe section should be installed with the bottom flat. Provision 5.8.3

No problem, current standards recommend that liquid pipelines have a flat top, regardless of whether the liquid is inlet from the top or from the bottom.
The position of the purge valve at the suction inlet of the pump is not very good and cannot be purged cleanly. It's better to put it before the big and small heads.
