I’m learning about industrial valves, and I came across the topic of VOCs; lift valves are used in this context. What is the function of a lift valve? I searched on Baidu for a while, but couldn’t find anything online; there were just lots of textual descriptions without any idea of what it actually looks like
Boost valve – this term refers to the function of a certain valve in a process. As for what type of valve to use, that is another matter. Its “enhancing” effect can be understood by referring to the principle of the process. I’m not sure if this understanding is correct.
Is it about transporting something upwards? “In piston engines, it is used to control the intake of air; the lift valve moves within the valve guide. The lift valve consists of a valve head and a valve stem, and is used in internal combustion engines. The surface of the valve head is covered with a thin film. The film is made of ceramic. A heat insulation plate is fixed in front of the valve head, so as to create an insulated space between the front side and the heat insulation plate, thereby reducing the operating temperature of the valve. ”It’s from Baidu; it’s not clear what it’s used for :(
There’s a problem with the keywords you used for your search; there are many types of lift valves, and the one you mentioned is the type used in internal combustion engines. What you are looking for is the lift valve used in RTOs; you can search again for “RTO lift valve” – that’s what you need!
Okay, thank you. I found one entry that mentions changing the direction of airflow, but I couldn’t find any animated demonstrations of how it works

Bro, awesome~! Looking at this diagram, it seems to be just a simple stop valve or directional valve, used to control the direction of the airflow
When we first entered the factory, there was a requirement to understand four things and be able to do three things; these requirements are still very necessary today. Once you understand the structure, it’s quite simple to grasp the principle as well. Otherwise, even if I explain it to you for ages, you’ll still be confused and not understand a thing; P
