Can a rubber seal be used for the hydrogen peroxide transfer pump? If not, what materials can be used for sealing, including gaskets? Polytetrafluoroethylene could work, but this material is quite hard. It’s a bit troublesome to make changes now that the design of the sealing surfaces has already been determined. Originally, silicone gaskets were used, with the sealing surfaces having grooves; moreover, the O-rings in the rotameter are also made of rubber, as are the rubber gaskets on the pump outlet flange. The rubber gaskets at the pump outlet can indeed be replaced with polytetrafluoroethylene, but what sealing materials should be used for the O-rings and the grooved sealing surfaces? Could you help me find out if nitrile rubber will work?
For O-rings, fluororubber can be used, and for male-female surface sealing, modified expanded polytetrafluoroethylene can be employed.
