Seeking advice: I would like to ask the experts here. There is already a safety valve on the cylinder; now I want to install another one to increase the safety level. Does this count as a modification, and are there any procedures that need to be followed? A safety valve is installed at the location where the diameter changes, at the flange marked in red. It is recommended to first check the drawings to see what function this fitting is intended for; if it is specified as a safety valve outlet, then there’s no problem... Also, check whether the drawings indicate that safety accessories should be determined based on process requirements – if so, that can also explain the situation... If none of the above applies, either install it yourself or apply for modifications or something similar……

Any modifications to the process must be approved by the design department.
The renovation of pressure pipelines must be designed by a design institute, and it is also necessary to inform the supervisory inspection authorities to ask whether such inspection is required (it is unlikely to be needed given how minor the changes are). There are regulations regarding the addition of safety valves as well: one should be set at the design pressure, while the other should not exceed 1.1 times the design pressure
The non-fireproof design should be 1.05 times; please make the correction
Safety valves are accessories for special equipment; they cannot be added arbitrarily and must be approved by the design unit
