Is the casting corresponding to material 321 ZG08Cr18Ni9Ti as specified in GB/T 12230-2005?
The material properties of ZG0Cr18Ni9Ti are the same as those of ZG0Cr18Ni9; the presence of the stabilizing element titanium enhances its resistance to intergranular corrosion. However, its castability is poor, and it tends to cause casting defects such as inclusions, shrinkage porosity, and cold shuts in the castings. It is mainly used for components in chemical processing equipment and oil refining equipment where high corrosion resistance is required, such as castings for pumps, valves, etc.
321 corresponds to the domestic old designation of 0Cr18Ni10Ti, while the domestic new designation is 06Cr18Ni11Ti. 321 is the American ASTM standard grade. The two grades, 06Cr18Ni11Ti and 0Cr18Ni10Ti, can be used as substitutes for each other. Product features: excellent workability, weldability, and impact strength, as well as good resistance to atmospheric corrosion and corrosion by many organic and inorganic chemicals. Its properties are very similar to those of 304; the addition of titanium effectively controls the formation of chromium carbide, granting it improved resistance to intergranular corrosion and higher strength at high temperatures. 321 stainless steel possesses excellent resistance to high-temperature stress fracture and high-temperature creep. Suitable for use at 900°C. Features: Excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion; high strength after cold working. Applications: Electrode cores, magnetometer instruments, medical devices, acid-resistant containers and pipelines, as well as other related equipment and components.
