Fire separation distances for Class A factory buildings, and Class A and E factory buildings

I’m seeking advice from fellow professionals in this field: I’m facing the following issue. When arranging a Class A compressor room (enclosed type) alongside Class A pump rooms and Class E pump rooms, the fire separation requirements stipulated in the fire safety codes are 9 meters for Class A–Class A arrangements, while no specific requirement is set for Class A–Class E arrangements. According to the building codes, the minimum distance between Class A–Class A and Class A–Class E arrangements should be 12 meters; however, certain measures can be taken to reduce this distance to 4 meters. The reason is that the pump rooms located under utility tunnels are typically made of color steel, making it impossible to construct fire walls. Even if fire walls could be built, the strictest requirements outlined in both sets of codes would still dictate a 9-meter separation distance. I wonder how people handle the projects they have worked on? I found that other units also aren’t following the fire safety regulations; the distance between them is over 4 meters, which is a bit problematic. I would appreciate some advice from everyone.
