The design institute requires a base plate at the bottom of the pipeline spring support, but the spring support itself already has a base plate. What is the purpose of adding this new bottom plate? Is an increase necessary? ?
Will it have any impact if, for convenience, the contractor fails to install bottom plates on some of the supports? Is it absolutely necessary to add a bottom plate? ? ?
Protect the rooting structure – what if welding damages the parent material?
For reference only. When using software for stress analysis to add springs, there is an option for entering the friction coefficient; one of the purposes of adding a base plate might be to ensure that the friction coefficient is similar to the value specified in the design. Secondly, the built-in base plates of the spring brackets are, from my experience, quite thin and of poor quality; they tend to break down with long-term use, so it’s necessary to add a base plate for protection. However, in practical use, whether a bottom plate is included or not has little impact. But there are requirements for the design, so it still needs to be included; otherwise, if anything goes wrong, you won’t pay any attention to it
The premise that construction drawings are meant to be convenient is flawed. Design has a purpose; if something is unclear, it can be clarified or by referring to relevant reference books. Under no circumstances should one rely on imagination to understand them
I couldn’t find where to enter the friction coefficient of the spring. . The purpose of adding plates is to reduce friction
In the CaesarII software, under Restraints, there is a Mu field for entering the friction coefficient.
If a Hanger is added, other brackets won’t be added, right? So how does one enter the friction coefficient of the Hanger?
With the connection point function, both Hanger and Restraints have inputs for the contact point number; once the same number is entered, it can be assumed that the two are at the same point, and at this point the friction coefficient can be entered
Right, one with a hanger and one with +y on the same node – is that enough? Thank you so much!
