Why must the return butterfly valve on the circulating water line be installed in the reverse direction?
The correct and incorrect orientation for installation should be based on the direction of pressure when it is closed. For reference.
Butterfly valves have a specified installation direction – they should be installed in the direction of the pressure difference; if installed opposite to this direction, insufficient sealing will occur
For sealing, the pressure-bearing surface on the return water side is closed
Based on the direction of pressure during closure, otherwise there will be high resistance during closure and leakage is likely to occur after it is closed
The installation direction under pressure is the most accurate
