The combustible materials are routed through a bypass; the control valve has been repaired and reinstalled. Is it necessary to perform purging between the upstream and downstream manual valves? How to replace it?
For online maintenance, I have indeed seen replacements carried out on the section between the upstream and downstream shut-off valves. I didn’t expect a perfect permutation method either
Check for internal leakage in the upstream and downstream valves using the backflow valve; if there is no leakage, decide whether replacement is necessary based on the properties of the material and operating conditions. The replacement process also involves using nitrogen to purge and equalize pressure through backflow.
