For high-pressure liquid delivery pipelines, in order to prevent pulsations in the pipeline from damaging downstream equipment, is it necessary to install safety valves on such pipelines?
For example, in the case of acid and alkali pipelines or pipelines for hazardous chemicals, the pressure is released and returned to the corresponding collection tank.
Also, is it necessary to conduct annual inspections for such safety valves?

Now, design institutes equip all circulating water pipelines with safety valves and burst discs.

The key is to determine whether there is a risk of overpressure; it has nothing to do with the pipeline pressure

If it cannot be ensured that it will activate at the set pressure, what’s the use of installing a safety valve?
