The pressure control valve is used to regulate the pressure in front of the valve; there is a positive displacement pump ahead of the valve, and the outlet pressure of the pump is controlled by adjusting the opening degree of the pressure control valve. The outlet side is connected to an open-top storage tank. According to pipeline regulations, a safety valve must be installed at the outlet of the pressure relief valve. I don’t understand this provision; if the export is unobstructed and there is no pressure buildup, how can overpressure occur?
