The sampling port on a vertical pipe should be located on the side of the pipe where the medium flows from bottom to top. When the medium flows from top to bottom, sampling points should not be placed, as this ensures that the liquid fills the sampling tube completely. Why, when the medium in a vertical pipe flows from top to bottom, is it not advisable to install sampling points, except to ensure that the liquid fills the sampling tube?
Due to gravity, if the pipe is not filled, the liquid flows straight down in the main pipe, and it cannot be ensured that a complete sample will be obtained from the branch pipes
What was sampled might be a mixture of gas and liquid
If the pipeline is not filled, it indicates an uneven liquid pressure and unstable flow of the medium. Sampling cannot be representative either
