Dear managers, I have connected 10 separate water channels to my flow distributor, each with its own flow-limiting orifice (similar to the quick-connect water channels used in air systems). The quick-connect fittings contain the flow-limiting rings shown in Figure 1; within these rings, there is an O-ring from Figure 2 inserted into the larger hole. The inner diameter of this O-ring matches that of the flow-limiting orifice, although the diameters of the various orifices are different. After nearly 40,000 hours of use, I’ve encountered problems with poor water flow in the areas where cooling is required according to my process requirements. Another company within our group resolved this issue by removing the O-ring from Figure 2, and flow rates remained essentially unchanged. However, when I did the same here, the flow meter showed the maximum value possible (it used to display 40 L/minute under normal conditions, but after removing the O-ring it showed 240 L/minute).
