What does it mean to install it from top to bottom? When should it be installed in the direction of the arrow, and when against the arrow? It is recommended to follow only the arrow indicated on the valve, in line with the flow direction. If there are specific annotation requirements, install it according to those requirements. As for concepts like achieving high returns with low inputs or a bottom-up approach, they are outdated. Many valves these days are no longer like this. The top-down concept of low input and high output is based on the internal structure of the valve. For reference.

The advantage is that less force is required to open the valve, so it won’t get stuck closed. The downside is that sealing can be difficult, leading to internal leaks; Conversely, fluid flows in from above the valve core and out from below. At low opening degrees, the valve core tends to close under the influence of the fluid; when fully closed, it presses tightly against the sealing surface due to the pressure of the medium, resulting in good sealing performance. However, the force required to open it is high, especially in the case of high-pressure valves ; The arrow marks on the valve body indicate the flow direction of the medium as suggested by the manufacturer based on its design; without consulting the manufacturer or specifying otherwise, it is not recommended to use the valve in the reverse direction.
