Where are steel pipes with an outer diameter of 127 generally used?
In principle, any of them can be used as long as it meets the process requirements, but those of type 127 are quite rare.
An unconventional pipe; I’ve never seen one. Use 108, 133, 159,
Tubes with a diameter of 127 mm are indeed rare, but after checking GB/T21835, this outer diameter specification does exist.
It is recommended to avoid using such alternative specifications; firstly, they are difficult to purchase, and secondly, spare parts for them are hard to manage (they cannot be used in conjunction with other departments, and such spare parts might not be needed for ten or twenty years).
Used in pipelines with strict linear speed requirements, such as solid powder transportation.
This specification is rarely used, but it’s not completely unused; I have a section here where it is used.
The pipe diameter is not commonly used, the fittings are difficult to obtain, and maintenance later on is troublesome
