On January 16, the Natural Gas Purification Plant of Puguang Branch in Zhongyuan Oilfield adopted the UV-cured resin lining technique for the first time, successfully carrying out \"trenchless\" repairs to three underground rainwater pipelines with large burial depths. This new technology, hailed as a \"minimally invasive surgery\" for pipelines, has completely transformed the traditional \"open-chest\" repair methods, addressing the long-standing challenges associated with pipeline repair in companies in a safer, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly manner. The rainwater pipelines in this factory are mostly concrete pipes buried at a depth of 2-3 meters. Traditional excavation methods for repairs have many disadvantages, including long construction periods, large amounts of work required, and disruptions to production operations. “Overall excavation is neither practical nor economical, and it also poses safety risks. ”Zhou Jian, the deputy director of the factory, explained. To address this challenge, the technical team innovatively adopted an integrated solution of “precise diagnosis + minimally invasive repair”. Before carrying out repair work, technicians first use a pipeline robot endoscopy system to conduct a thorough inspection of the underground pipelines, accurately locating every damage point and leakage site inside them. On this basis, the workers insert a soft lining material soaked in a special resin into the pipe; by applying pressure, they ensure that the lining adheres tightly to the pipe walls, and then ultraviolet light is used to accelerate its curing, thereby creating a strong, smooth, and corrosion-resistant \"new inner lining\" inside the pipe. The entire repair process requires no large-scale excavation, causing almost no impact on the normal production of the factory. This innovative approach not only significantly reduced the repair time and construction costs, but also ensured environmental protection throughout the entire repair process. New technologies ensure the adequate flow capacity of pipelines after repair and significantly extend their service life, providing strong technical support for the plant to achieve its environmental goal of having no water visible on sunny days and no oil visible on rainy days. They also offer a replicable and scalable model for the repair of underground pipelines in similar enterprises, demonstrating the Puguang Branch’s proactive efforts and achievements in technological innovation and green production.
