The float of the ball-type drain valve has been flattened

Have you ever encountered a float being flattened by water hammer? Could you share the photos and an overview of the layout of the pipeline downstream of the check valve?
I’ve never encountered it; if such a situation does arise, why not add a check valve at the back?
There is a rising pipe behind the steam trap, a main pipe for discharging pressurized condensate water, and a pipe that is connected to the condensate water pipe of intermittent high-pressure equipment. The use of large heat exchangers along with frequent control measures that result in negative pressure can all lead to water hammer, causing the float ball to deform
