Construction begins on the on-site pipeline network module manufacturing facility for the 1.2 million tons per year Phase II ethylene project at Dushanzi Petrochemical Tarim

On the morning of February 20, the groundbreaking ceremony for the plant’s above-ground pipeline network manufacturing base for the Tarim 1.2 million tons per year Phase II ethylene project and its associated green and low-carbon demonstration project at Dushanzi Petrochemical was held at the project site. The Project Management Department for the Tarim Phase II ethylene project attaches great importance to the construction of the module production and manufacturing base. This module manufacturing plant represents PetroChina’s first attempt at such a facility in a large-scale refining and chemical integration project in nearly four years, and it holds pioneering significance. In accordance with the overall strategy of \"serving the overall objectives, ensuring seamless connectivity of the pipeline network, and providing power throughout the plant,\" the above-ground pipeline network for the Tarim Phase II ethylene project was designed. By taking into close account the actual conditions on site, detailed design was carried out for the steel structures, and design coding was used innovatively to facilitate precise control over the steel structures, thus laying a solid foundation for modular construction. At the same time, the project utilizes digital tools to implement precise management throughout the entire construction process of modular steel structures. By tracking the five key stages – factory manufacturing, factory painting, factory shipment, delivery to the site, and on-site installation – it achieves visibility across all aspects of the modular steel structure process. The module manufacturing base is enclosed by solid barriers, and it features facial recognition turnstiles, a visitor exhibition area, a VR safety experience hall, a CPR training room, a safety and quality culture corridor, as well as on-site offices. In addition, 3 25-meter-tall pole lights were installed around the base to ensure complete lighting even at night, providing excellent hardware conditions for the project construction. The key to establishing a modular construction factory lies in fully respecting every worker and ensuring their rights and interests. Leveraging advanced production models, optimizing production processes, and allocating resources efficiently, the manufacturing plant is able to significantly improve its production efficiency. In terms of quality control, strict high standards are followed to ensure excellent product quality. In terms of safety management, by improving the safety system and providing regular training, a solid safety barrier is established for employees, ensuring the safe and orderly progress of projects in all aspects.
