I’m looking for information on the standards for the quick connectors used on ball valves for loading and unloading tankers. In the industry, these connectors are referred to as KJA or KJB; they are similar to GB/T 16693 standards. However, GB/T 16693 relies on rubber gaskets at the bottom surface for sealing, while ball valves for tankers use radial sealing rings, and their dimensions also differ. After searching everywhere online, it seems that the Japanese JLPA216 standard is the one most similar to these connectors. But there is still a slight difference in size; it’s impossible for an industry of this scale to not have any standards.
At present, there is no clear industry standard for the quick-connect fittings of ball valves used in tank truck loading and unloading. Although standards such as KJA or KJB quick connectors, GB/T 16693, and JLPA216 are quite similar, there are still some differences in terms of dimensions and other aspects. This may be related to the design and production methods of different manufacturers. It is recommended that when choosing products, you select legitimate ones that meet quality standards based on your own needs and actual circumstances. At the same time, it is also possible to communicate with relevant industry associations or professional organizations to learn more about the technical requirements and standards in this field. .
