With the further advancement of energy pipeline construction in our country, strain-based design using large-strain steel pipes with high strain capacity has become a new trend. 　　By the end of 2022, Julong Steel Pipe Company had successfully completed the trial production of large-strain steel pipes of the φ1219×33mm specification in a single furnace, developed a relatively mature production process, passed third-party inspections successfully, and accumulated a large amount of raw data for this thousand-ton trial production. 　　To ensure the success of this trial production task, Giant Dragon Steel Pipe Company held several specialized technical meetings to analyze potential problems that might arise during the pipe production process, devise solutions, and assign specific personnel to handle related tasks. 　　During the initial process design phase, relevant technical experts held thorough discussions and carried out specialized optimizations in areas such as mold selection, welding material matching, and non-destructive testing. During the trial production process, all technical personnel monitored the production and inspection processes throughout the whole duration, carefully measured various parameters of the steel pipes, and meticulously recorded and organized the data, resolving any technical issues that arose during the trial production in a timely manner. Through concerted efforts, by mid-June, the first batch of 14 prototype steel pipes passed non-destructive testing, hydrostatic testing, final inspection of the finished products, and physical and chemical tests; all their specifications met the required standards, and they were the first to leave the production lines among the three companies tasked with manufacturing them.
