Basis or criteria for classifying material grades

The A234 standard specifies several material grades, including WPB, WP1, WP5, etc. I would like to know what the basis for this classification is Or in which standard is it specified? Additionally, I would like to ask about the mechanical property grades of bolts – there are 8 such grades including 8.8, 10.9, 12.9, etc. I know that these are related to the strength of the bolts, but I’ve never understood what determines these grade classifications Is there a standard to explain the grading system? It is specified in which standard. I hope someone who is familiar with materials and standards can give some advice. Thank you.
