From November 21 to 22, 2023, the domestic production verification for the double-eccentric C-type wear-resistant ball valve used in Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical’s 300,000 tons per year CHPPO unit was successfully carried out at the manufacturing site of Afa Fluid Control Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “AFA Company”), and the verification process was a complete success. The acceptance working group was composed of experts from Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd., Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd., Shanghai Zhongshen Technology Co., Ltd., and AFA Company, among others. The product under assessment was the domestically developed bieccentric hemispherical valve (top-mounted C-type ball valve) for the 300,000 tons per year CHPPO unit in the second phase of Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Base. The experts present listened to the progress reports on the development work carried out by Avafa Fluid Control Co., Ltd. and those on the on-site manufacturing supervision by Shanghai Zhongshen Technology Co., Ltd. They reviewed relevant technical documents such as the pressure testing report for the double-eccentric C-type wear-resistant ball valve of the CHPPO unit, examined the factory’s manufacturing process documents and inspection records, and witnessed the on-site tests for dual-sealing performance and strength under pressure. The product design and manufacturing quality met the expected requirements, and they agreed to approve it for release from the factory. The expert group believes that the newly developed top-mounted double-eccentric C-type wear-resistant ball valve, created independently by AFA Company, has reached international advanced levels in terms of performance and quality. It features distinct technical advantages and performance strengths, filling a gap in the domestic market for such products. At the same time, this product has clear advantages over imported products in terms of market price, delivery time, and after-sales service; it can effectively reduce procurement costs, shorten the manufacturing cycle, and provide fast and convenient after-sales technical support. It will make a positive contribution to the development of industries such as petrochemicals, coal chemicals, semiconductors (polysilicon), slurry transportation, and cryogenic applications in China.
