The emergency relief valve has the functions of emergency discharge and emergency suction, and is commonly used in emergency situations such as fires. Working principle: When the pressure inside the tank becomes severely unbalanced due to operational errors, external fires, rainfall, or other issues, the emergency relief valve opens rapidly. Under excessive pressure, a force acts on the pressure valve disc in an upward direction, causing it to open and allow pressure to be released; once the pressure reaches 90% of the set value, the pressure valve disc returns to its original position to maintain sealing. When the storage tank experiences a rapid vacuum, the vacuum valve disc opens downward to release the vacuum; similarly, when the negative pressure reaches 90% of the set value, the valve disc returns to its original position to re-seal it. In the vast majority of cases, emergency relief valves operate very infrequently, so their function is easily overlooked. When the breather valve is functioning properly, the emergency relief valve remains essentially sealed. Advanced sealing technology is employed, exceeding the most stringent industrial standards in terms of the leakage limits permitted by national regulations. It reduces nitrogen evaporation losses from storage tanks, decreases the emission of organic pollutants, thereby protecting the environment while also minimizing cost losses for businesses.
