According to **Pipelines Group**, China has already met the target of building 16,500 kilometers of oil and gas pipelines set for the 14th Five-Year Plan period; a unified national pipeline network has been essentially established, thereby enhancing the safety, stability, and flexibility of energy supply. Since the beginning of this year, the Turpan to Zhongwei section of Line 4 of the West-to-East Gas Pipeline Project has been put into operation, and the first tunnel of the Guozigou pipeline projects for Lines 2 and 3 has been completed ； The first section of the Second Sichuan Gas Transmission Line has also been put into operation, with a number of major energy transmission routes and interconnection projects advancing at pace. To date, China has put into operation over 18,000 kilometers of pipelines, exceeding the targets set for the 14th Five-Year Plan period ahead of schedule. The primary pipeline transport capacity for natural gas increased from 260 billion cubic meters per year in 2021 to 412 billion cubic meters per year. At present, China’s natural gas pipelines, crude oil pipelines, and refined oil pipelines have been interconnected wherever resources require it. Under unified resource allocation and management, the inter-provincial pipeline transportation price of natural gas in China has dropped by 5% compared to five years ago, saving 12 billion yuan in social energy consumption costs each year. At the same time, in the areas of technological innovation and green development, the proportion of domestically produced key equipment has risen to 97.5%, and standards have been established for technologies such as hydrogen transportation and carbon dioxide sequestration ； Approximately 42% of the pipeline network operation areas across the country have adopted digital monitoring, facilitating a faster transition in energy supply toward higher quality, greater intelligence, and greener practices.
