The compressor is the heart of long-distance natural gas pipelines, and any failure can have serious consequences. As its core protection device, the anti-surge valve enables rapid backflow or gas release when the compressor is on the verge of surge, thereby ensuring the safety of the equipment. In the past, all anti-surge valves for compressors were imported products. In 2018, Betel signed a joint development agreement with the West-East Gas Pipeline Company and completed the factory acceptance tests; in 2020, the on-site industrial trials were finished. It took seven years, from the initiation of research and development to the on-site trials and finally to the commissioning of the first units, before this project was brought to completion.
