The lubrication oil pipelines of turbines are generally not considered pressure pipelines. I would like to ask the experts: what is the basis for considering them as non-pressure pipelines?
First, look at the pipe diameter and pressure; no need to go into detail on this. Then consider the medium; this is the difficult part, as anything that was flammable in the past was considered applicable. The new regulations are more complex now. Regarding flammability, the flash point and operating temperature are taken into consideration; substances with a flash point above 120 degrees and an operating temperature that does not exceed that flash point are not considered flammable or explosive. Then, regarding toxicity, if it does not reach Category 3, it is not considered toxic. It is not considered flammable or explosive, not toxic, and poses no hazards; it is not a pressure pipeline.
I would like to ask which standard is referred to by the new regulations – TSG31? We need to look at the saturated vapor pressure here as well, and compare it with the operating pressure? Where does it come from that propylene B with a flash point above 120°C is not considered flammable or explosive? Toxicity Category 4 also falls under the category of low toxicity; only a table in the \"National Training Manual for Designers and Approvers of Pressure Pipelines\" states that substances containing 25% or less of this component are not considered toxic, with no clear regulatory definition specifying what constitutes low toxicity as non-toxic.
