On the 28th, key projects related to oil and gas infrastructure, including the Su-Anh-Yu main pipeline, the Wen 23–Anqing gas pipeline, and the Shandong pipeline network’s northern main line (Phase 1), commenced construction simultaneously in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, and Shandong. This marks a new stage in the development of a national gas network, and it is of great significance for improving the layout of the national gas pipeline network, facilitating the transformation of the regional energy structure, and promoting high-quality economic development. The Su-Anh-Henan main pipeline project, which is now under construction, starts at the Tongyu transfer station in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, and ends at the Lushan East compression station in Pingdingshan City, Henan Province. It passes through 14 cities and 29 counties (districts) in three provinces – Jiangsu, Anhui, and Henan – with a total length of 822.5 kilometers. The pipeline is designed to operate at a pressure of 10 megapascals, with an annual transport capacity of 18.3 billion cubic meters. Project Wen23 – the Anqing natural gas pipeline – is a key route for transporting gas from the north to the south. The newly built pipeline is 645.5 kilometers long; it starts at the injection and production station of the Wen23 gas storage facility in Puyang County, Puyang City, Henan Province, and runs through 8 cities and 20 counties (districts) in Henan, Shandong, and Anhui provinces, ending at the Anqing connection station in Daguan District, Anqing City, Anhui Province. The designed pressure is 10 megapascals, with a designed flow rate of 15 billion cubic meters, and the potential future flow rate is 25.3 billion cubic meters. The Shandong Pipeline Network North Main Line Project (Phase I) has a total length of 257 kilometers, passing through the cities of Yantai and Weifang. Its designed annual gas transportation capacity is 11.8 billion cubic meters. Once completed, these three main pipelines will significantly increase the density of gas pipelines and the level of interconnection in China’s central and eastern regions. They play an important role in improving the overall layout of the country’s natural gas pipeline network, as well as in promoting the transformation of the regional energy structure and high-quality economic development.
