What is the price of soda ash, and what is its purity?
Around 1,400, excluding taxes. Of course, the purity meets the national standard for top-grade products; the sodium carbonate content is greater than 99.2%.
Has the price gone up? 1400 is the price before tax; with tax and shipping, shouldn’t it be 1600?
Online, I’ve seen prices around 1300. What if I use salt instead of soda ash?
Then you’ll need to find someone who sells soda ash. Also, your salt is way too expensive :lol
Your alkalinity level isn’t low either. My salt is of great quality; I exchange 6 tons of salt for 1 ton of soda ash. That seems about right.
The difference is huge. Right now, the price of our salt at the retail level is less than 150. How much does six tons of salt cost, really? Your salt should be sold to soda ash plants; then they wouldn’t need to wash the salt at all.
If it’s for use in caustic soda plants, this price is too high
This is still too expensive. From 6 tons of salt, you should be able to get at least 3 tons of alkali. Give me 1 ton; you keep 1 ton, and sell the other ton. I see this as a good deal.
