I’m a complete beginner; could you please tell me what are the general requirements for divalent cations and anions in the production of caustic soda by electrolyzing saltwater using ion exchange membranes?
Ion specifications for entering the electrolyzer: Ca2+Mg2+ ≤ 0.02 mg/l; SiO2 ≤ 2.3 mg/l; Fe3++Fe2+ ≤ 0.02 mg/l; Ni2+ ≤ 0.01 mg/l; Al ≤ 0.02 mg/l; I ≤ 0.2 mg/l; Ba2+ ≤ 0.1 mg/l; Sr ≤ 0.1 mg/l; SO42+ ≤ 5 g/l
