The 3k chlorine compressor features four stages of compression, and each intercooler requires cooling with circulating water. The water flows into the cooler by gravity; the water exiting the cooler is at no pressure, with flow from bottom to top. The outlet pipe is sealed. Is there any problem with such a design? The water pressure fluctuates greatly.
There’s no issue with the design; address the problem of water pressure fluctuations first
Water pressure fluctuations have nothing to do with this design. Please check for any unreasonable pipe design that may be causing the issue. But personally, I think this design fails to achieve its purpose: there is no backpressure, so the outlet is pressure-free; however, since the diameters of the inlet and outlet are the same, the water inside the equipment still has high pressure.
Water flows by gravity from the tray at the higher level into the intercooler; does air being drawn in cause unstable water pressure?
It should be that an unreasonable layout of the high-level gravity-fed pipes can lead to unstable water flow. Could we arrange to view the photos on site? It might be possible to solve the issue by making an opening somewhere
There is a problem with the design: pressure should be applied to the water inlet using valves to regulate the pressure, while the outlet valve should be fully open to allow water to flow back into the underground tank without any pressure.
